I just signed a petition to The United States House of Representatives, The United States Senate, and President Barack Obama: Please push the Federal Aviation Association to require airlines to provide designated wheelchair accessible spaces on every commercial aircraft, which will allow passengers to remain safely seated in their personal wheelchairs.

Please sign this petition! As it stands now, people who can’t transfer out of their chairs just can’t travel by plane. Not to mention all of us whose chairs get smashed and broken when they’re thrown into the cargo hold, leaving us completely stranded when we get to our destinations.

Please help my dad get insulin and to see a doctor

We didn’t know my father was diabetic before he was rushed to the hospital this last Friday with a blood glucose level six times higher than it should be. After three days of hospitalization, he was released with a script for insulin, but no appointment or anything for a diabetes consultant and STILL with a blood glucose level higher than it should be (though granted it dropped a lot, so he is doing better).

My parents are good people, and they mean the world to me, but we are all extremely poor. My mom and dad don’t even really have a home right now; they live out of a hotel room at the place my dad works at, and my mom is about to lose her job since cyber cafes are being shut down in their state. I want to help them get some money so they can get him to see a consultant, get some insulin, and some better food without landing themselves on the street.

Please help if you can, either by donating or spreading the word. Please. I love my parents so, so much, and it breaks my heart to see this stuff happen to them; they are such wonderful people and they deserve far more than the American medical system is giving them. Help Out a Quivering Daughter

An escaping daughter from a Quiverfull family is trying to win a scholarship through WyzAnt Scholarships. In order to get a scholarship she needs people to vote on her essay. Her essay is entitled ‘Quiverfull Freedom’. Jennifer from Charlotte, North Carolina has written about how she would use her education to help those young adults trying to leave the QF type life.

Please vote for her essay. Her parents are so hostile to the idea of her getting a real education that they even refuse to sign her FAFSA form, which could reduce her tuition by a significant amount. They’ve turned their back on helping her in any way receive a college education.
