Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut DLC Will Feature Admiral Hackett, EDI, Kaidan

“BioWare has been very tight-lipped about the content in Mass Effect 3’s Extended Cut DLC, which is designed to fill out the game’s ending. However, we at least know of three main characters that will be appearing in this DLC.

Lance Henriksen and Tricia Helfer confirmed to G4 that they’ve both recently done some voiceover work for BioWare for “Extended Cut.” Henriksen and Helfer voiced Admiral Hackett and EDI, respectively in the Mass Effect series.

“I just did another session with them…They were saying there’s a little bit of a problem with the abruptness of the ending,” Hendriksen said in the interview. “So we did a whole series of things to add to the end of the game, to live up to the quality they’ve been doing.”

Commander Shepard’s other crew members will be making another appearance as well. Raphael Sbarge, the voice of Kaidan Alenko, confirmed earlier this month that he’s been working with BioWare as well.

“Just when you thought I would never go back, they keep pulling me back in Mass Effect. Recording,” tweeted Sbarge.

When BioWare announced Extended Cut, they mentioned that it would add new cinematics. However, they’ve been careful to point out that it won’t just be cutscenes. Their aim is to make ME3’s endings more personalized so that players choices are reflected.

BioWare plans to release Extended Cut this summer for free. The backlash against the game’s original endings was so strong that this DLC will really need to be something special to win back gamers’ trust. Hopefully BioWare is up to the task. “-GamingBlend

I NEED A RELEASE DATE GOD DAMMIT GIVE ME SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO.

Kimberly Brooks’ twitter seems to confirm that she’s doing more lines as well. Since Ashley’s the VS on all my runs, this is a relief.

kirkwallhellmouth reblogged your post: OHAHAHAHAHOFIJASDA

I really do not think the writers considered just how deeply fans would think into all the ramifications of the ending….

this isn’t even ‘deeply’

like yo it’s six am i haven’t slept i’m on a hormonal roller coaster and i’ve been crying all night

this is not intensive critical thought

THIS IS NOT HARD

Yeah. The’re just was not a lot of thinking about fan reaction at all involved in the ending.

Because apparently they just thought everyone would be cool not having any clue how/if anyone survived that.

OHAHAHAHAHOFIJASDA

ALL THE TURIANS AND QUARIANS WOULD DIE

BECAUSE THEY WOULDN’T HAVE

MASSIVE STOCKPILES OF DEXTRO-AMINO FOODSTOCKS ON EARTH

hahahahahahahahahaha hfuck you lskdjfaosdjlkxzm,

I really do not think the writers considered just how deeply fans would think into all the ramifications of the ending.

Because a lot of fan reactions just did not occur to them, when to large numbers of fans, these conclusions were the only logical ones based on what evidence the game gave us.

Q: Who is this game for? You seem to be targeting a broad audience.

A: It is an M-rated game, so it’s meant for grownups, but outside of that we have a lot of female players. Obviously, being a video game, we have a lot of younger adult players. But we have players of all ages. We go to Comic-Con, we have 18 to 45 [year-olds]. And because this is a game that is so much about stories and characters, it brings in a broader demographic than a typical shoot-’em-up game.

“meant for grownups but outside of that we have a lot of female players”

are you fucking kidding me

This guy can just go fuck himself twelve ways nasally with his own dick, to be honest.

Because they’re totally mutually exclusive categories. Thanks, Bag-of-Dicks Hudson.

“Shall each man find a wife for his bosom, and each beast have his mate, and I be alone?” – EDI quoting Frankenstein’s creation from Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein

This dialogue happens if you convince EDI and Joker not to pursue a romance together. The quote, similarly, comes from the Creature’s response when Frankenstein tells him that he will not finish making him a wife. The Joker/EDI romance is not perfect, but I think the writing for EDI’s struggle with evolving and being alone is done rather well.

oh my days! -literaturegasam- thanks for posting!

Welcome! The line’s a bit too perfect not to share, and I pretty much had a litgasm when it happened. Perfect, “Oh, snap” moment.
