Last night, I had a dream that combined Mass Effect and Firefly. Most of it involved a multiple ship chase through an asteroid field running away from…something.

But the highlight was a conversation between Barla Von and Mal Reynolds. Some kind of less than legal business which I wish I’d managed to remember.

Q: Who is this game for? You seem to be targeting a broad audience.

A: It is an M-rated game, so it’s meant for grownups, but outside of that we have a lot of female players. Obviously, being a video game, we have a lot of younger adult players. But we have players of all ages. We go to Comic-Con, we have 18 to 45 [year-olds]. And because this is a game that is so much about stories and characters, it brings in a broader demographic than a typical shoot-’em-up game.

An interview with BioWare’s Casey Hudson

Morgan Shepard: Spacer. War Hero. Soldier. ME1 to ME3. I don’t have good ME pics of her, but she had a big honkin’ scar across the bridge of her nose. Took a while to get her right in ME3: I didn’t use the Save Editor on her, just ME2 pics for comparison. Will see what the Save Editor version looks like, but I kind of got attached to this look. Even if the redder hair makes her look like a vampire half the time; girl could blind people she is so pasty.

Roman Shepard: Earthborn. Ruthless. Vanguard. ME1, ME2, & ME3. Used Save Editor to fix him up for ME3, and i think he turned out closest to his original looks out of my three ME1 Shepards. Poor Jen Shepard suffers the most from the facial changes, as she had the ME1 default-Jane face as a base 😐
