If you want people to apply on line to work for you, and you want them to be able to search for job openings in their area, it would be really great if your website would, you know, ACTUALLY FUNCTION in such a way that they could do that. “Search” buttons are supposed to do things. Not, you know, NOT do things.

“Our records indicate that you have already completed the Applicant Test within the last 180 days, and your previous responses did not match the requirements of the job which you applied.”

Oh. Okay. Well.

Somehow I don’t think I’ll be trying again in the 144 days I have to wait before trying again. Hopefully I’ll have a job by then and won’t feel the need to try again.

As an introvert, it pleases me that I can apply for jobs online and not have to talk to anyone.

However, I also hate filling out said applications because 9 times out of ten, the only jobs I’ve had in the past 5 years (writing consultant, aka writing tutor, and research assistant) are not really likely to get me hired in the positions I’m applying for.

And that’s…really kind of depressing.
