Sometimes the automated AI in Civ V baffles me. One of my auto-exploring triremes decided to explore a source of fresh water, which is one hex of land past the ocean <_<

I have no idea what happened, but I also can’t get it out of there, so I’ll have to delete it so it doesn’t end up accidentally starting a war when that particular open borders treaty expires.

LOL. Diplomatic victory in Civ V. More of a “I have ridiculously fortified cities, modern weaponry, and several atomic bombs and I took out three empires” sort of big-stick diplomacy.

I took out Russia, Egypt, and Mongolia. The only true empires left were mine (Persia), Greece, and the Iroquois. Japan only had one city left, so it was functionally a city state, but Nobunaga insisted that he had the protection of Edinburgh covered and that I should back off. This despite the fact that to help Edinburgh, he’d have had to gone through half the Iroquois territory first.
