How do Celebrimbor and Talion fit into that last LotR post?

Talion is non-canonical. Shadows of Mordor is something to be looked at as a fun game to play but in no way does the story fit with anything from the books.

I know Celebrimbor is in that game but I don’t really know how or why as I’ve not played very far yet. In the actual books he created the elvish rings and had a part in the one ring, but it was never out of malice or evil, he was actually kinder, more selfless and less prideful than the rest of his family.

In the game, Celebrimbor is a Wraith that sometimes apparently possess Talion.

This discovery some time ago led to me mentally flipping tables, because frankly I don’t see it as fitting into the spirit of the rest of the Legendarium.

I am so tired of these infomercials for a human growth hormone supplement. Why yes, natural production of hgh tends to drop off in your early to mid twenties…because that’s generally when your body decides that it is the Body of a Fully Grown Human. This is a normal process. It’s not some Big Shocking Revelation, and it shouldn’t be spun as some Horrible Problem that needs to be corrected by some expensive bullshit.

I have this huge, ex-military biker guy neighbour who is like 80% handlebar moustache and has a ponytail halfway to his ass and him and all his huge biker guy friends all have tiny dogs and special, motorcycle safe seats for them on their bikes and my favourite things is when they all come roaring in on their bikes and take their tiny dogs out of their little studded leather safety carriers there is this loud cacophony of kissy sounds and full blown baby voices like “was that fun sweetie” and “who’s my handsome boy”

Still have yet to get a first tattoo and have been hit by an idea for Yet Another Tattoo.

Which, given that it fits thematically with two/three other ideas that both relate to phrases/songs that meant a lot to me when my anxiety and depression hit the Worst They’ve Been So Far (::knocks on wood::), I’m not actually surprised.
