I LOVE the clips I’ve seen of Elisabeth. I have had a minor obsession with “Die Schatten werden länger” ever since I saw a clip of the Takarazuka version.

Die Schatten werden länger, Wenn Ich tanzen Will, and ich gehör nur mir are my three favorite songs in the entire show (though Wenn ich tanzen will was added later, so it’s not in the earliest versions). Serkan Kaya as Lucheni in the 2005 Wien production is also bloody fucking brilliant.

I’ve seen both the regular and Takarazuka flavors, and a couple different productions of each (I’m actually a fan of takarazuka in general), and I like them all, though the 2005 Wien production is my favorite.

I love the 2005 Wien production’s Der Tod. I also love the act 1 version of Die Schatten werden länger. I had version of it from a Hungarian production fave’d on YouTube, but it disappeared 😐 I think it’s a show anyone who likes historical fiction musical or fairy tale musicals should definitely check out.

This is Jen Shepard. Colonist. Sole Survivor. Infiltrator. Sort of on the Paragade side.

She’s a version of the Shepard that I write femShep/Jack stories about. In-game, she’s my Shep who pines after Ashley and Jack, but keeps her feelings to herself because of the mission. Until ME3 and game mechanics allow for s/s female LIs other than Liara. I have a theme song for when she decides that maybe a relationship could possibly work in the face of impossible odds. I’ll post that in a minute.

Here, Jen’s hauling Ash onto her shoulders to carry back to the Normandy so that the bomb on Virmire doesn’t blow them both up.

I’ve figured out what Abominations are!

medievalthedas:

Not evil spirits who want to possess mages! But rather, bad meat!

In London, butchers who sold meat that was “putrid and stinking, an abomination to mankind;” “putrid, rotten, stinking, and abominable to the human race;” and “putrid and corrupt, unwholesome as food for man, and an abomination” were “without exception punished… by being placed in the pillory and having the putrid matter burnt beneath.”

—Chaucer’s Foods

Dragon Age abominations really do look rather like bad meat, too.
