When I was a kid, I interpreted Bert and Ernie as also being kids. Like, older than Elmo, but still kids. It didn’t occur to me that two kids living by themselves would be a weird thing in the world of Sesame Street.

I am now kind of wondering if that was a me being Autistic thing.
