and let’s talk about the Academy Award members who put their votes forward towards a category where they didn’t even bother to watch all of the nominated films

The ones who didn’t see all the films didn’t vote at all. Do people not know what “abstain” means?

Part of what the article this graphic is from talked about was the general treatment of the animated category by the Academy voters—the article itself was more annoyed with Mr. Animated-Movies-Are-For-Six-Year-Olds and that several voters didn’t see all the nominees, as they feel that not bothering with animated films is a fairly prevalent attitude.

That makes sense. And also they treat sci-fi and adventure the same way. It’s kind of a miracle return of the king got anything when it was up.
