Now Facebook asks why you are hiding something.

“It’s annoying or not interesting,” emphasis on “annoying,” is exactly the reason why I hid that ridiculous “I’m going to [city that correlates to a random list by birth month] for [number of months according to one’s birthday]” thing that purports to be for “breast cancer awareness.”

There can be no awareness from ridiculous posts that have exactly nothing to do with breast cancer–and, in the case of other versions of this meme such as the “I like it on the [insert place you usually put your purse]” further sexualizing something that should not be sexualized does not help awareness either.
