Ugh. People on Facebook ridiculous. I also hate those ridiculous “post random things that have nothing to do with breast cancer to ‘raise awareness’ for breast cancer when you won’t even say that’s why you’re doing it” memes.

Nobody seems to understand that posting things like that first of all, does shit all to do with raising awareness for breast cancer, does not raise money for breast cancer, and trivializes breast cancer. You want to raise awareness? Post a link to a donation website. Register to do a marathon. Buy something from a store that is pink and has the breast cancer ribbon on it. Don’t make a mockery out of someone else’s death sentence.

Seriously, the color of your bra and sexual innuendo that’s actually about where you set your purse (that one was seriously made of WTF and in really, really bad taste) does not raise awareness about anything. Except the fact that you’ll post stupid stuff on Facebook, which people probably already knew without bringing fake-awareness of breast cancer into it.

If people want to raise awareness, they can do all those things you said and stuff link posting links to actual information. Actual information > a stupid meme that no one gets anyway.
