…seriously?

Apparently turning twenty-five means my health insurance provider (technically my mom’s health insurance, which I’d be screwed without) thinks I should talk to my doctor about whether he thinks I should start taking an ACE inhibitor or ARB medication in order to ward off potential heart or kidney issues related to my diabetes.
I’m just glad it was a letter and not a phone call (I hate talking to the health insurance nurses who call every so often to ask the same questions, like “Do you have regular mammograms?” No, I don’t, because I have no family history of breast cancer and I’m under the age at which you would cover it, and I’m not paying out of pocket to have my boobs squished just for shits and giggles, thanks. I know they mean well, but it’s annoying).

I guess I’ll take the letter to my next appointment, if only to see what my doctor’s reaction to it is.
